It had been way too long since the famous Lake Shasta fishing trip. So Frans, Christina, and Pat & Trish (Christina's Mom & Dad) packed it up and headed to beautiful Clear Lake.

Only a two-hour drive from Frans and Christina's latest address in Santa Rosa, Clear Lake offers some great fishing, and other activities as well. Our destination - the Skylark Shores Lodge. This nice little motel offers rooms just a few steps from the water, with kitchenette and private docks. Heaven!

So we packed a ton of junk food, wine, and beer and prepared to relax for a few days. Predictably, Frans and Pat were up before the sun to head out and fish. Christina and Trish arose at a much more civilized hour (to the great annoyance of the housekeeping staff).

Much fun was had by all. Fishing - morning, noon, and night. Lots of relaxing in the sun. Great BBQ food (courtesy of Pat). Tons of junk food, too!

True to form (see Shasta trip), Christina caught the biggest fish at 4.1 lbs. Both Frans and Pat caught fish that came close. Pat caught the most fish. Frans definitely spent the most time in the fishing boat, and came close to catching as many as Pat.

We'll definitely do this again! How about next week...
